As a charity we often need volunteers for our major fundraising events, like our summer fundraiser ‘The London Party’, to help with general admin, venue set-up, and on-the-night coordination. We also occasionally need volunteers to work at our head office in London.
Wherever we may need you, we are always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers with these skills and experience:
- Problem-solving skills
- Time management
- Communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibiity and creativity
Volunteers generally do not have to have experience of the Film and TV industry, but a love of cinema, Film and TV is always helpful! Most important perhaps is an understanding of charity perspectives – the desire to directly and indirectly help others in need.
The Film & Television Charity also has a roster of volunteer Welfare Visitors. There are more stringent criteria for this role as it involves dealing with confidential information and personal contact with the people we support.
