What kind of support can we help with?

Our friendly, supportive team of advisers can talk to you about anything – even if you just want in-the-moment support in the form of someone to listen to you.

They can also help with more specific support, including for issues such as:

  • Depression and anxiety
  • Debt and money worries
  • Bereavement
  • Relationship and marital problems
  • Work stress, relationships. and change
  • Self-esteem
  • Anger issues
  • Addiction
  • Mid-life concerns
  • Menopause
  • Commitment issues
  • Trauma
  • Self-identity and LGBTQ+ issues
  • Discrimination and racism

Once you get in touch, our advisers will ask several questions about your circumstances and the issue or issues you need support with. Next steps could include up to six structured short-term solution focused sessions with a BACP-accredited counsellor. These can take place by phone, video link, or face-to-face, and you should be able to speak to your counsellor within a week or so – which is much quicker than accessing support through the NHS or other means.

You could also be assigned to an online Cognitive Behavioral Therapy course that you work through at your own pace.

Whatever the outcome, talking about a problem is the first step – and we’re here to help. All our calls are completely confidential and it’s totally up to you if you want to go ahead with whatever next steps our advisers might suggest.

Depending on your situation and needs, we also have other services available to you, which our advisers can talk you through and help you access. These include:
