Reel Impact
Round one grant partners
With applications for the second round of grants from Reel Impact now set to open in 2025, we’re pleased to provide an update about our grant partners who have received funding from round one.
The first round of funding decisions were made by an independent grants assessment panel who scored applications at each stage, with an intersectional lens based on need, impact, and diversity of approach. Applications were received from across the UK.
Applications for the next round of grants will open in March 2025
About Reel Impact
Reel Impact is our programme to support mid to senior level Black and Global Majority individuals, as well as Black and Global Majority-led production companies and organisations working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema.
Reel Impact has been developed from our previously announced Impact Partnership Programme, and co-designed with the support and direction of a panel of Black and Global Majority creatives and senior industry figures. It aims to address the impacts of systemic racism in the industry, drive greater access to opportunities, and support and develop the careers of under-represented talent.
What Reel Impact offers
Grants of up to £10,000 for mid-to-senior level Black and Global Majority individuals
Grants of up to £25,000 for Black and Global Majority production companies or organisations in the industry

Partnerships
Alongside our grants, we are developing a further strand of the Reel Impact programme that will focus on creating partnerships with organisations that can extend their offerings to support Black and Global Majority professionals.
This strand of the programme will enhance and develop careers and skills, provide access to opportunities which may not usually be accessible, as well as opening up spaces for networking.
