Sky has today committed to donate £500,000 to the emergency relief fund recently established to support the UK’s creative community in the wake of COVID-19.
By donating, corporates and individuals will be helping those who have been vital to our industry’s huge success story.
The scheme offers much-needed financial support to freelancers waiting for payments under the Government’s Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.
Open for 2 weeks, the fund will provide much-needed support to the many thousands of workers who have been hit hard by the closure of productions across the UK.
£500,000 will go towards the new Film and TV COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, in partnership with the BFI.
