June 8th, 2024 – Shepherd’s Bush: Companies from across the film, TV and cinema industry gathered to compete for the prestigious Broadcast Fives Trophy – a fantastic day of fun, camaraderie, and sporting rivalry all for a good cause.

Supporting our industry

We had more than 300 people come along on the day to play football, netball, or simply to support their colleagues. And with team entry prices, sponsorships, and a silent auction combined, we beat last year’s fundraising total, raising an incredible £30,000 for the Film and TV Charity. Even better, all the funds raised will go towards our work and services that continue to support the mental and physical health and financial wellbeing of people in our industry who need it most.

Celebrating the winners

Massive congratulations to All3Media, who beat Handle Freelance Solutions to win the coveted Broadcast Fives Football Trophy. In the Netball tournament, Disney dominated, coming away with the Broadcast Fives Netball Trophy!

Other winners included Molinare who took home the Broadcast Fives Plate and Industrial Light & Magic who won the team photo challenge and were rewarded with a bottle of fizz.

Beyond the tournament

The Broadcast Fives is more than just a fundraising event. It’s an opportunity to bring the industry together, supporting positive physical and mental health through movement, and reminding everyone that we’re here to support them with whatever issues they might face when working behind-the-scenes.
