Betty Box & Peter Rogers Comedy Writing Programme

About The Programme

The Betty Box and Peter Rogers Comedy Writing Awards are designed to discover and support writers who have demonstrated a commitment to writing comedy but who are not yet writing professionally full-time.

The programme was named in honour of Betty Box and Peter Rogers, legendary producers of the Doctor and Carry On series, who left a generous legacy donation to The Film & Television Charity.

By creating the Betty and Peter Programme with our partners, we continue our commitment to people working in the Film and Television industries who are talented and driven but who need support in order to develop their careers.

After the success of its first year, The Betty Box and Peter Rogers Comedy Writing Programme is currently undergoing review with a scheduled re-launch during 2018/19.
