CV Clinic is our pilot programme, offering professional development support to people who identify as facing additional barriers, as well as being further impacted by COVID 19.
Last year, our mental health research, the Looking Glass, indicated that Black, Asian and ethnic minority people, LGBTQI+ and disabled workers weren’t feeling well supported by the industry and were impacted significantly more than their white, heterosexual and non-disabled counterparts.
We also know that parents returning to work, those with caring responsibilities and people living outside of London may be facing additional barriers in trying to get back to work.
CV Clinic intends to address some of these issues.
Can I apply?
Applications are open to people who identify as facing additional barriers. Where appropriate priority will be given to people based outside of London, where we know it can be harder to get work.
We’re looking for 20 participants to take part in the pilot. If your application is successful you’ll be matched with experienced industry professionals who’ll be able to remotely offer two sessions offering 1-1 CV advice and a job appraisal session.
We hope the CV Clinic will give people more confidence to be job-ready.
- You need to be currently looking for work
- Have worked behind the scenes in the film, TV or cinema industry for at least a year (some of this can be unpaid, but you need to demonstrate a trajectory towards some paid work)
- Identify as facing additional barriers to getting back into work
You’ll also need to have your CV to hand as well as complete a short form explaining how you might benefit.
Unfortunately, the application deadline has now passed.
Clinics will take place in July /August.
