SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
It’s been a tumultuous couple of years for everyone working behind the scenes in the film, TV and cinema industry. There’s no doubt the pandemic and the huge social movements and changes of the last few years have made what was already a tough industry even tougher.

In the last 18 months alone, The Film and TV Charity delivered:

3,500+

Financial grants

2,300+

COVID emergency relief fund recipients

1,000+

General support grants

43

Community grants helping grass roots activity

1,000+

Counselling and legal advice sessions

7,800+

Calls to the support line

It’s all part of our mission to build a happier, healthier TV, film and cinema community. All told, during the pandemic we offered support and help to around 1 in 20 industry workers.

But, with as many as 9 in 10 people working behind the scenes in film and TV experiencing  a mental health problem, and with job and financial insecurity remaining a fact of life for many as we emerge from the pandemic, we know OUR WORK HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN.

I was so stressed and worried about how to keep myself out of debt over the next couple of months and you’ve thrown me a lifeline by awarding this grant. I can’t thank you and the funders enough
Gary, script writer
