Your Situation

Mobility issues are affecting me

If you have issues moving around for work or in your home, we may be able to provide support to keep you mobile and active

How can you help me stay mobile?

We’ve helped hundreds of individuals in the Film & TV sector who suddenly find themselves dealing with mobility issues that stop them working or living a normal life.

This may be through injury or the sudden worsening of a long-term problem. Whatever the reason, all you want is to stay mobile in your home or workplace.

Our support team has experience supporting individuals with mobility issues and can help, support and advise you on the best way forward.

Mobility at home

Everyone wants to stay in their home. But, as your situation changes, activities like climbing stairs or using the bathroom become more challenging.

In these cases, to continue living in your home it may be necessary to undertake home adaptations. These make your life easier and allow you to carry on and maintain your independence.

We regularly support individuals with:

  • Stairlifts
  • Bathroom adaptations
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Mobility scooters
  • Wheelchairs
  • Mobility at work

It’s frustrating when injury, long-term health problems or other mobility problems affect work. Not being as able as you used to run with it the risk of having to stop work.

Through our support team, we can help you stay working and mobile with a range of options that mean you don’t have to give up work. With the support of our fund, we may be able to help with workplace adaptations to keep you working.

Government grants and benefits

In the first instance, there are two key government grants available if you find yourself needing support for mobility issues. The two relevant grants currently available are:

  • Disabilities Facilities Grants
  • Return To Work Grant

These are available for home adaptations and workplace adaptations if you have mobility issues. If these prove unsuccessful routes for obtaining funding for support, we may be able to help.

Get in contact with us as soon as possible and we’ll gladly explain your options and help you choose the right course of action.
