What is the Film and TV Support Line?
Have you ever had a problem at work, or an issue that has been negatively impacting your life, but you weren’t sure who to turn to? Then our free and confidential 24/7 Support Line is here for you.
Available to everyone working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema – from Make-Up Artists to VFX teams, Production Managers and Casting Agents and those Freelancing on a project, through to office workers in sales, finance, marketing or distribution, our friendly, professional advisors are here to help you. No problem is too big or too small.
You can pick up the phone, email us, or speak to someone through our online chat – whichever you feel most comfortable with.
How to contact us
You can get in touch via our 24-hour support line by calling 0800 054 0000.
You can also use our Live Chat to access the service. When accessing the webchat, please mention that you are accessing the service via the Film and TV Support Line. If you want to speak to a counsellor rather than continue talking on live chat, please ask the advisor to arrange a call back, and someone will be right in touch via phone.
What kind of support can we help with?
Talking about a problem is the first step. Remember, no matter what’s happening right now, things may feel very different once you’ve spoken with our team.
Once you have contacted us, our advisors will ask you several questions about your circumstances and the problem you need support with.
They will then discuss potential next steps.
All calls are totally confidential, and it is completely up to you if you want to go ahead with the next steps our advisors may suggest.
You can contact our helpful and supportive team for issues including:
- Depression and anxiety
- Debt and money worries
- Bullying and harassment
- Your career development
- Or in the moment support for when you need someone to talk to about life’s worries
Depending on your situation and needs, we also have other services at the Charity available to you, which our advisors can talk you through and help you access, including:
- Counselling – up to six sessions with a BACP qualified counsellor via phone, videocall or in person
- Legal advice
- Financial guidance
