Prime Video Pathway has launched one of UK’s largest free training programmes with an additional £2.2M investment in the industry. The expanded programme continues its NFTS partnership, offering virtual and in-person courses for freelancers, among other initiatives and partnerships.

More FREE and open-to-all networking/​social events for the creative industries – Manchester Animation Festival for NORTHWESTIVUS on Wednesday 12th November, and then back for FESTIVUS London (the BIG ONE!) on Tuesday 16th December.

Trainee Finder, ScreenSkills’ flagship paid placement programme for new entrants opened on 16th October. The programme pairs training opportunities with hands-on production experience to provide vital pathways to those looking to start their career in screen.

Set Starters have partnered with the British Heart Foundation to offer free CPR training across the industry, helping professionals gain the confidence to respond in emergencies.

Open to filmmakers and producers across the UK, the BFI Doc Society are offering 15 min 1–2‑1 online advice sessions to discuss projects or for you to ask advice about its funds.

Filmbase regularly share job alerts out to its members, including Props, Set Decoration and Art Department roles across the UK and Northern Ireland. They also host monthly webinars, offering advice and support to crew – they even have one coming up with the Charity for heads of department about crew wellbeing! KIT4CREW is a new initiative led by our Industry Friend Real SFX to repurpose professional workwear that is no longer required sustainably. With support from Bectu and CULT Cymru, it’s perfect for industry newcomers or those on a budget. Donated items such as waterproof footwear, gloves, and thermal wear must be clean and of good quality.

Liverpool Film Office have launched a new three-year training programme to support career development and training in the region. The Film Office aims to support around 1,000 people into the industry by delivering an innovative, free-to-access skills programme to build a stronger and diverse screen sector in the Liverpool City Region – from career surgeries to basic training, workshops, and masterclasses, make sure to apply now!
