Wellbeing on set

Those working in Production and Development appeared to face acute risk factors for their mental wellbeing at work, including extreme working hours, high levels of bullying, and high incidence of sexual harassment compared with averages across the survey” The Looking Glass Report, The Work Foundation 2020

There is much we need to do to improve working practices on set. We are developing a Toolkit for Mentally Healthy Productions to help guide the industry to do this, and are piloting elements of this resource to ensure it’s co-designed with the people on the ground.  We’ve learned that ‘setting the tone’ at the start of a production and having senior leadership fully on board with the approach has been key to creating a safe and open culture
