Taking place on Saturday 7th June at Shepherds Bush Powerleague, the Broadcast Fives is a chance for companies working in the film, TV, and cinema industry to compete against each-other and raise vital funds for people working behind the scenes.

- When: Saturday 7th June. Registration 9.30am – 10.30am. Kick-off at 11am
- Where: Shepherd’s Bush Powerleague (41 S Africa Road, W12)
- Cost: Entry fee £749+VAT per teams
- Deadline: Please book your team(s) by Friday 23rd May

Who can take part?
Both tournaments are open to any company in the UK film, TV, and cinema industry. We will be running a five-a-side football and netball tournament concurrently on the same day. Companies can enter both tournaments if they wish but must have enough players for both teams.
If you don’t currently work for a company but would like to take part, or if you do but are struggling to meet the numbers required for a team, please email [email protected]. We’ll do our best to match you with a company or team.
The tournaments
- Companies can enter a maximum of 2 teams per sport (team entries are purchased separately for both sports)
- Each team will play at least 4 games, more if you progress further
- Football teams will consist of 5–8 players
- Netball teams will consist of 7–10 players
- Both tournaments will be mixed-gender, and we strongly encourage an equal mix of genders on each team
Event schedule
- Registration: 9:30am – 10:30am (players can enjoy fresh pastries, coffee, and tea whilst they get ready and warm-up for the day)
- Welcome Talk: 10:45am (A few words from CEO Marcus Ryder and the head officiant from Powerleague will outline the format and rules for the day)
- Group Stages: 11:00am – 1:00pm
- BBQ Lunch: 1:00pm (all dietary requirements will be catered to)
- Knockout Rounds: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
- Finals: 5:00pm
- Trophy Presentation: 6:00pm (silverware and closing remarks)
We encourage everyone to stay for the finals, trophy presentation, and drinks.
The Broadcast Fives 2024
Last year, 40+ companies from across the film, TV, and cinema industry joined us for the day battle it out and raise money for the Film and TV Charity.
Massive congratulations to All3Media, who beat Handle Freelance Solutions to win the coveted Broadcast Fives Football Trophy. In the Netball tournament, Disney dominated, coming away with the Broadcast Fives Netball Trophy! Can they retain their titles again this year? You’ll have to come along to find out!
Other winners included Molinare who took home the Broadcast Fives Plate and Industrial Light & Magic who won the team photo challenge and were rewarded with a bottle of fizz.
