In collaboration with Broadcast, we’re returning to Shepherds Bush Powerleague on Saturday 6 June 2026 for an action-packed five-a-side football and netball tournament. 

It’s a fantastic chance to let off steam, connect with colleagues, strengthen community, and raise vital funds for the people working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema. 

Last year, the Broadcast Fives raised over £22,000, helping us deliver mental health support, financial guidance, and wellbeing services to those who need it most in our industry.

Who can take part?

Both tournaments are open to any company in the UK film, TV, and cinema industry. We will be running a five-a-side football and netball tournament concurrently on the same day. Companies can enter both tournaments if they wish, but must have enough players for both teams.

If you don’t currently work for a company but would like to take part, or if you do but are struggling to meet the numbers required for a team, please email [email protected]. We’ll do our best to match you with a company or team.

The tournaments

  • Companies can enter a maximum of 2 teams per sport (team entries are purchased separately for both sports)
  • Each team will play at least 4 games, more if you progress further
  • Football teams will consist of 5–8 players
  • Netball teams will consist of 7–10 players
  • Both tournaments will be mixed-gender

Event schedule

  • 9:30–10:30am – Registration: players can enjoy fresh pastries, coffee, and tea whilst they get ready and warm-up for the day
  • 10:45am – Welcome Talk: A few words from CEO Marcus Ryder and the head officiant from Powerleague will outline the format and rules for the day
  • 11:00–1:00pm – Group Stages
  • 1:00pm – BBQ Lunch: all dietary requirements will be catered to
  • 2:00–4:00pm – Knockout Rounds
  • 5:00pm – Finals
  • 6:00pm – Trophy Presentation: silverware and closing remarks

After an action‑packed day, we’d love everyone to stay and cheer on the teams in the finals, enjoy the trophy presentation, and join us for drinks afterwards.
