Alex Wheatle’s impact on British television was profound, from his powerful contribution to the BBC’s Small Axe to the recent acclaimed adaptation of his award-winning Crongton Knights series. His work gave voice to underrepresented stories and reshaped the narrative of Black British experiences on screen.
