Our Centenary
This year we’re marking our centenary with 12 months of activity, from events to campaigns. You can get involved and help us mark this milestone by making sure everyone working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema knows we’re there for them. So, please, help us spread the word and tell all of your industry contacts about us!
Back in 1924, we started life as a benevolent fund, supporting cinema workers and their families. Fast forward 100 years and we now provide support to over 200,000 people working behind the scenes in hundreds of roles. With a focus on mental and physical health, financial wellbeing, and equity and inclusion, we’ve developed our services to match the needs of our industry.
Get involved
Over the course of 2024, we’re planning a host of activities to raise our profile and make sure everyone working in our industry knows how we can help them – from activity to raise awareness of our support services, campaigns to raise urgently needed funds and events to drive partnership and collaboration with communities and organisations who share our values and goals.
There are so many different ways you can get involved:
- Use our services – from our Support Line, financial resources, and free counselling sessions to our Bullying Advice Service and Whole Picture Toolkit for mentally healthy productions.
- Spread the word about our support – tell your friends and colleagues or download our posters and share our details.
- Support our campaigns – follow us on our social channels.
- Sign up to our newsletter for all the latest from the Charity.
- Visit our events page for details about centenary celebrations and other events.
Centenary Stories
As part of our centenary, we’ll also be highlighting incredible stories that showcase the impact of our work, as well as the inspiring ways other individuals and organisations are working to create a happier, healthier, and more inclusive industry.
Keep an eye on this page and our socials over the next 12 months!
