Your award has enabled me to make a film and attend essential meetings. You are such a vital resource within the industry. Thank you.

Scottish filmmaker, Ben Sharrock, was working on the screenplay for ‘Limbo’ when he needed support. We were able to award him a financial grant, which helped him complete the screenplay and go on to film ‘Limbo’.

‘Limbo’ was recently nominated for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut at the BAFTA Film Awards. The film is a wry, funny and poignant cross-cultural satire that subtly sews together the hardship and hope of the refugee experience.  This deadpan comedy-drama from a bold new voice in British cinema shines a light on the hearts and lives of those at the centre of a crisis that is mostly witnessed through headlines. The film will be released in cinemas in the UK and Ireland by MUBI on 30 July.
