Community Partnerships
Supportive industry relationships are vital for good mental health and can help lay the foundations for a successful career in film and TV. Having a sense of community can be even more important for freelancers and people from underrepresented groups, who often feel isolated.
That’s why we’ve partnered with organisations who do great work to help professionals feel less alone in their careers.
Understanding challenges in the film, TV, and cinema industry
They understand the challenges their communities face because they’ve been there too. They help build supportive connections with industry peers and connect people who struggle to find others who share their experiences in their workplaces.
We’ll be working with our Community Partners to host in-person events, gather insights into industry wellbeing needs, raise awareness of support, and build greater community connections.
Meet our community partners
We’re excited to share details of our new partners:
The Queer Filmmakers Network aims to connect, support and champion LGBTQIA+ Filmmakers, creating new opportunities and spaces for queer stories, ushering in some much-needed diversity on both sides of the lens. Through networking events, talks and screenings they hope to build an active peer group, offering support to all members through their platform.
"It means so much to us that the panel recognised the passion we have for our community and saw alignment with the partnership scheme’s values. We’re so grateful to have your support to create even more meaningful connections and help us reduce isolation and loneliness, which, is sadly very much present within our peer group today."
