Take the 2022 Looking Glass Survey
Completing the survey helps us to support the mental health of everyone working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema
We are asking everyone working behind the scenes in film, TV, and cinema to show their support for better mental health in the industry by completing the 2022 Looking Glass Survey.
Whether you work in casting or production, sales, distribution or exhibition, and no matter what stage you’re at in your career, completing the 2022 Looking Glass Survey helps us to develop the services we provide to support mental health and wellbeing for everyone in the industry.
By taking few minutes to complete the survey and tell us how you’re feeling, you are also helping us – and the wider industry – to understand how we can improve ways of working, and highlighting what needs to change.
The first Looking Glass Survey in 2019 uncovered a mental health emergency in the industry, with 9 in 10 saying they had experienced a mental health problem. Our follow-up survey in 2021 did show signs of a tide turning but underlined there is much more to be done, with only one in 10 agreeing that the industry was a mentally healthy place to work. Information gathered in these surveys has helped us to provide:
- 24/7 Film and TV Support Line
- Bullying Advice Service
- Freelancer Wellbeing Hub
- Whole Picture Toolkit
By completing the 2022 Looking Glass Survey you are helping us to understand what else is needed to give everyone in film, TV, and cinema the support they need.
Complete the survey and please share with your friends and colleagues.
We want to hear from EVERYONE in the industry, and from all corners of the United Kingdom. We especially want to hear from people from under-represented groups, including:
- Black, Asian, and minority ethnic people
- People who identify as LGBTQIA+
- People with caring responsibilities
- Disabled people
- Freelancers
- Women
