How to boost your confidence

Join us on the 16th of June at 1pm for the Confidence Booster Programme keynote session webinar, with special guest, BAFTA-winning producer / writer Kayleigh Llewellyn (In My Skin, Killing Eve).

The webinar will be hosted on Talent Manager and is open to anyone working behind the scenes in the film, TV, and cinema industry.

The lunchtime event, organised to mark the end of the first Confidence Booster programme, will include a Q&A with Kayleigh, who will reveal how she has dealt with, and developed both her professional and personal confidence. It will also be co-hosted by Jo Schofield from Screen Yorkshire, and Nicky Davidson from the Film and TV Charity.

Kayleigh Llewellyn’s critically acclaimed BBC Three comedy-drama series, In My Skin, a teenage coming of age story that deals with sexuality and mental health, has been awarded two BAFTA TV Awards for Best Writer and Best Drama Series, four BAFTA Cymru awards, and Best Drama Series at the RTS Awards. Kayleigh’s writer and producer credits also include the BBC’s Killing Eve and the recent drama, Chloe. She was named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2019, a Broadcast Hotshot, a BFI Flare Mentee and was the recipient of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Writing Award.

The Confidence Booster Programme is a scheme created by the Film and TV Charity in response to the national and regional talent shortages that have been highlighted by the ongoing production boom. In 2022, 16 people took part in the Confidence Booster programme, which included workshops, providing tips, techniques, and processes to develop the confidence of talent already working in the industry. The scheme was specifically targeted at those who identified as women, carers, or those returning to work.
